IIF was set up in 1963 as Mechanical Engineers and Contractors, specialising in high quality pipework.

The current shareholders, directors successfully completed a Management Buy-Out in 1986.

Over the past 42 years, the company has developed the strengths, resources and flexibility that have built it into one of the most efficient and successful companies of its kind in Ireland. IIF is Irish owned and managed and today provides Process Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation installations, either individually or as a package.

IIF have been closely involved in all major facets of industrial development in Ireland for almost half a century, providing their unique and comprehensive range of services to the Power, Chemical, Petro-Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Food Processing, Computer, Electronic, Leisure/Sports, Telecommunications, Transportation, Health Care, Biotechnology and Offshore Industries.

At IIF, however, our resources are principally human, and with our experience in a multitude of industries, we have gathered under one roof a team of highly skilled personnel, all experts in their own fields - from detail design to fabrication, from costing to project management, from material procurement to start-up.

There are three separate divisions within the company: Process Engineering, Mechanical Services, and Electrical Services. Each division has its own staff from estimating through to commissioning, sharing only office accommodation as well as administrative and general office procedures.
